Who We Are

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” ― Plato
Piano Instructor Karen Ramirez “Ms. Karen” delights her students with her bubbly personality, humor and contagious energy! She has been teaching piano for over 25 years and playing the piano most of her life! She has studied the piano with top instructors since an early age, competed in and won many piano competitions and performed in many venues. She teaches students with a relaxed, friendly and encouraging approach.
Students can expect to be offered a thorough musical education which includes theory, technic, all of the fundamentals and supplementary repertoire. Motivational rewards are given to honor students for their extra efforts. Many younger students express their delight at being given stickers each time they favorably complete their assignment. (They really like the scratch and sniff ones!) Students can expect steady progress when they practice their piano every day, attend and engage in their lessons each week and put forth enthusiastic effort.
Several times per year, there will be an opportunity to perform at the student recital. Sometimes the recitals are traditional and formal. Other times, there is a fun theme, such as our recent costume recital! When a well prepared piece is performed in front of a live audience, the student can take great pride in his or her accomplishment! Recitals are optional, but it is highly recommended that students make the effort to perform in them. They tend to be the highlights of our piano students and their families!
Ms. Karen takes great pride in her chosen career and many of her students have gone on to become piano teachers or music industry professionals themselves! She would love the opportunity to share her love for music with you and be your new piano teacher!

“Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.” ― Sarah Dessen
Our detailed studio policy will be explained at the first meeting, but here is a quick snapshot:
We offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons.
Contact us for tuition rates and to secure the students individual time slot.
Lessons are the same day and time every week.
The monthly tuition is paid in advance and holds the students time slot.
Weekly and Bi-weekly lessons are available.
Books cost extra
Recital fees are also an extra cost several times per year
Tuition is due by the first of every month for that upcoming month to reserve the students personalized time slot, provide consistency and the students commitment to their piano studies.
A piano or full size weighted keyboard is required for the student to practice their daily assignments on.
If the student is overcommitted with other obligations, expect slow progress, increased frustration and lower retention. It is important to make piano lessons a priority and put forth effort every day at home to ensure steady progress, understanding and success.
What We Do

“Life seems to go on without effort when I am filled with music.” ― George Eliot
Weekly piano lessons at our studio are engaging, interesting and sometimes challenging! Students can rest assured that they will be supported and encouraged in a warm, nurturing manner.
Having said that, it is expected that students make piano lessons one of their top priorities if they wish to be successful musicians and even if they wish to enjoy piano as a hobby.
Students of all ages are expected to practice their weekly assignments at home, every day if possible, on their own piano (or full size weighted keyboard) and will progress at a rate consistent with their efforts. They also have the opportunity to perform several times a year at recitals.

“Where words fail, music speaks.” ― Hans Christian Andersen
